_____Ingredients_____
4 cups corn kernels (fresh, canned, or frozen)
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp paprika (optional)
1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese (optional)
Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Prepare the Corn:
If using fresh corn, cut the kernels off the cob. If using canned corn, drain well. If using frozen corn, thaw and drain any excess water.
Melt the Butter and Add Honey:
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the honey and stir until it blends with the butter, creating a smooth mixture.
Cook the Corn:
Add the corn kernels to the skillet and stir to coat them in the honey-butter mixture. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the corn is heated through and starts to caramelize slightly.
Add Cream and Seasonings:
Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Season with salt, black pepper, and paprika (if using). Let the mixture simmer for 3-4 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together and the sauce to thicken slightly.
Add Parmesan Cheese (Optional):
For a richer flavor, stir in the shredded Parmesan cheese until melted and well incorporated. This step adds a savory depth to the sweet honey butter sauce.
Serve and Garnish:
Remove the skillet from the heat and let it cool for a minute. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley for a pop of color and freshness. Serve warm as a side dish.
