Avril Lavigne at the recent Grammy Awards has announced she is getting married to partner Mod Sun, who proposed to her in Paris.

Lavigne, known for hits like "Sk8er Boi," gushed that the proposal was "perfect" in an exclusive interview: The two were on a boat in the Seine River with a clear view of the Eiffel Tower.

Sun (whose real name is Derek Smith) shared photos on Insta with a caption: "The day we met I knew you were the one. Together forever til our days are done."

Lavigne and Sun met while working on her latest album, "Love Sux," which maintains the punk-pop aesthetic of Lavigne's earlier work. They "had a very strong connection"

"I look forward to having fun, working together, touring" Lavigne said. (Lavigne begins touring with Mod Sun as one of her supporting acts.)

Lavigne has been married twice before: To Deryck Whibley of Sum 41 and then to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger.

Mod, 35, popped the question with a custom-designed, heart-shaped ring set in a royal setting with little hearts from XIV Karats from Beverly Hills.

Averil Lavigne says the engagement proposal "was a total surprise," she knew soon after they met that he was the one.

Lavigne was featured on Mod's 2021 single "Flames," and he co-wrote and co-produced several tracks on her most recent album Love Sux
