Famous Video Game and Anime Voice Actor Billy Kametz passed away on June 9, 2022 at 35. In late April he had been diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer.

For his role of Naofumi Iwatani in The Rising of the Shield Hero in 2019, Kametz won Best Voice Actor Performance at the 4th Crunchy-roll Anime Awards.

He voiced characters in anime series such as Attack on Titan, Boruto, Demon Slayer, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure (Josuke), Pokémon Journeys (Ren) and Neon Genesis Evangelion.

Earlier this year, Billy Kametz announced that he was taking a break from voiceover work and that other voice actors would replace him for current and ongoing roles.

Most importantly, Billy Kametz said at the time he was moving back to Pennsylvania to be with his family, following his cancer diagnosis.

His love for his work as an actor and unforgettable voice will continue to entertain fans and always be remembered. Billy was always gracious towards all of his fans.

Billy Kametz fans contributed to a GoFundMe page to help finance his medical costs, medical bills not covered by insurance, and everyday life necessities.

As of press time the campaign has earned US$175,126 of the US$150,000 goal. The organizers of the campaign added they will close the campaign on June 14.

Anything contributed that hadn't already been used for Kametz's treatments would go toward his funeral. Kametz's family will hold a viewing on June 15 and a funeral on June 18.

Kametz was born on March 22, 1987 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. His obituary stated Kametz had dreamed of becoming an actor since early childhood.

Kametz got his break with Disney as part of the entertainment staff on the Disney cruise line. Later he moved to California, offered the role of Aladdin in Disneyland’s Musical Spectacular.

Billy Kametz manages to remain humble, hardworking, and true to his roots. He has a keen business sense and understands how to make work enjoyable.

Billy Kametz was not married but had Erica as a girlfriend. Kametz’s siblings are, Sister Nikki Kametz-Lees, brother-in-law Greg, nephews Cash and Jaxon.

He was quite private about his personal life and refuses to give any information, he avoided questions about his relationship.

He had sculpted body and stiff but he was a four-time World Martial Arts Championship winner in addition to being a well-known model and actor.
