Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott undergoes surgery on his right thumb, he could be out for up to two months, plus NFL Week 1 winners and losers.

Prescott is looking at a return date of Oct. 30 vs. the Chicago Bears, but it's more likely to be Nov. 13 against the Green Bay Packers.

“This is game one,” Prescott said following a costly 19-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. “Let’s not hit the panic button.

We have a great coaching staff. They’ll get back in there and they’ll find the things that we did well” Dak Prescott added.

The Packers looked like the worst team in the NFL, the Browns finally won an opener and the Cowboys look like a team that might go 0-17.

Prescott suffered the injury, Cowboys' 19-3 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after his hand twice hit the hand of linebacker Shaq.

After a screen pass to Ezekiel Elliott, Prescott went to the side-line because he could no longer grip the ball.

The Cowboys are 5-7 in games without Prescott in his career, so they have to figure out how to win without Prescott.
