The Lions are expected to sign free agent wide receiver DJ Chark to a one-year deal worth $10 million fully guaranteed, according to NFL Network.

After playing in just four games in 2021 because of a fractured ankle, Chark's one-year, prove-it deal makes sense.

The 6-foot-4 vertical threat has great hands and can separate from defensive backs and high-point the ball.

DJ Chark earned a Pro Bowl bid in 2019 after catching 73 passes for 1,008 yards and eight touchdowns.

Injuries have been the biggest concern of the LSU product. Over the past two seasons, he has missed 16 regular-season games.

Adding Chark on a short-term contract does not prevent the Lions from selecting a receiver early in the 2022 NFL Draft.
