A stand-up comedian Jak Knight, writer and actor has deceased. He was 28, and recently co-created the Peacock series Bust Down.

Jak Knight’s family confirmed the news but did not release any details. Obviously, it is an extremely difficult time for Jak’s family.

First making a name for himself in Hollywood as a stand-up comic, Knight served as a story editor for Netflix’s animated comedy Big Mouth.

Talented Jak Knight worked as a writer on the 2013 Fox animated series “Lucas Bros. Moving Company”.

Knight also voiced the character of DeVon, a popular Black classmate of nerdy protagonists Nick and Andrew, appearing in 28 episodes.

He later served as story editor during Season 6 of the ABC sitcom black-ish. Knight penned the 2019 episode “University of Dre.”

Jak Knight had recently wrapped filming Chelsea Peretti’s feature directorial debut, First Time Female Director.

He was named a 2014 Comedy Central Comic to Watch and a 2015 New Face at the Montreal Just for Laughs Festival.

Knight performed at the 2015 Oddball Festival, and opened for comedians such as Dave Chappelle, Joel McHale, Moshe, and Aziz Ansari.
